Krone Group revenues grow by 15% in 2021

Germany – Bernard Krone Holding SE & Co KG of Spelle, Germany, has released its financial results for the financial year 2020/2021. The Krone Group generated sales of EUR2.2 billion, up 15.7% on the EUR1.9 billion of the previous year. The group’s profits stood at 4.4% of sales, a doubling of the previous year’s 2.2% result.

The CV division of Krone reported sales worth EUR1.37 billion, an increase of 17.8% on the EUR1.1 billion generated in the previous year. Bernard Krone, Chairman of the Krone Holding Supervisory Board, stated Krone spent around EUR2 million on its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, establishing vaccination centres at its production sites to serve staff, families, and nearby businesses. When the EUR8 million cost of manufacturing downtime and rescheduling is considered, the company estimates it directly spent EUR10 million as a result of COVID-19 over the past 22 months.
