Microvast to power Iveco’s Crossway electric bus

USA / Italy – Batteries from Houston, Texas-based developer Microvast Holdings Inc will be featured in the upcoming Crossway LE Electric low entry bus from Iveco Group, based in Turin, Italy. The contract builds on a 2019 commercial agreement between the Microvast and Iveco’s powertrain-specialist subsidiary, FPT Industrial S.p.A.

Under the agreement, Microvast will supply the complete battery system for the Crossway, with FPT developing the mechanical and thermal integration of the powertrain. Assembly of the battery packs will be carried out by FPT at its factory in Turin. The two firms state the battery pack will vary between 400 and 466kWh depending on application.
