Malaysia’s CV market recovery resumes in Q4

Malaysia - The Malaysian commercial vehicle market over 2 tons gvw expanded by 5.4% year-on-year to 19,915 units in the fourth quarter of 2021 after rebounding by 25% to 18,893 units in the same period of the previous year, according to www.AsiaMotorBusiness.com analysis of industry data. 

The country’s economy grew by 3.6% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of last year, rebounding from a 4.5 % contraction in the third quarter after the government began easing covid-related restrictions in September. Over the full year the economy expanded by 3.1%, rebounding from a 5.6% decline in 2020 – the first year of the pandemic.
