USAMeritor Inc of Troy, Michigan has announced the extension of its supply agreement with PACCAR Inc of Bellevue, Washington for an unspecified duration.

The agreement concerns the 14Xe ePowertrain, which is designed for integration in Class 8 electric trucks. PACCAR currently fits the 14Xe in Kenworth’s T680E and in Peterbilt’s 579EV tractor units and 520EV refuse trucks. It considers Meritor to be a “key partner” in delivering “cutting-edge electrification solutions” to the North American market. The two companies are also currently collaborating on the ‘SuperTruck 3’ federal project – see T&BB December 2021 for further details
