Meritor extends supply agreement with Wabash for trailer components

USA – Meritor Inc of Troy, Michigan has extended its supply agreement with semi-trailer manufacturer Wabash National Corporation of Lafayette, Indiana for various components to 31 December 2026, making this the very first five-year agreement arranged between the two companies.
The agreement concerns the supply of Meritor loose axles and other components. The ‘Meritor Tire Inflation System’, which is claimed to increase the lifespan of tyres and improve fuel economy, is to remain a preferred option in all Wabash trailer configurations. In addition, the ‘MTA-Tec6’ and ‘MPA’ trailing-arm suspensions – designed for intensive applications – ‘EX+ LS’ air disc brakes and automatic slack adjusters are to be made available as data book options.
