ZF’s trailer technologies pave the way for an Autonomous, Connected & Electrified future

ZF’s cutting-edge trailer development programme has an important role to play in supporting the commercial vehicle industry’s advance towards an increasingly Autonomous, Connected and Electrified (ACE) future, according to Christiaan Verschueren, Head of System Solutions Trailer with ZF’s Commercial Vehicle Solutions division, in a recent interview with Truck & Bus Builder.
“Further advancing ZF’s Next Generation Mobility strategy, trailers offer enormous potential to support an ACE future,” said Verschueren. “Trailer Electronic Braking Systems are the cornerstones we are building on to help realize this potential. Having upgraded the ‘brain power’ of EBS, we have developed a new intelligent Electronic Braking System which we aim to bring to market next year.”
