BYD launches Type A electric school bus

USA / China – BYD Inc, the US subsidiary of Shenzhen-based BYD Auto Co Ltd, headquartered in Los Angeles, California, has announced the launch of its Type A electric school bus for the North American market. The bus can seat up to 30 passengers and can be equipped with an ADA tailgate capable of lifting 360kg (800lbs).

The vehicle features a lithium iron phosphate battery which will provide the vehicle with up to 140 miles of range on a single charge. BYD has not announced the capacity of the battery.
