ABB charging Milan’s electric buses

Italy - ABB Ltd of Zürich, Switzerland, has installed its Terra 124 electric chargers at the San Donato bus depot of Milan’s public transport operator ATM (Azienda Transporti Milanesi). The chargers will support Milan’s transition to an all-electric bus fleet by 2030.

ABB states that each charger can fast charge two vehicles at a time, with the buses scheduled to charge during the night when the buses are not on their duty cycle and the grid electricity is cheaper.
