GermanyTraton SE, a parent of several bus and truck manufacturers including MAN Truck & Bus, Scania, Navistar, and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus based in Munich, Germany, has reported revenue growth across the group of more than a third, from EUR22.6bn in 2020 to EUR30.6bn in 2021. Its adjusted operating result for 2021 was EUR1.6bn, providing a return on sales of 5.2%.

The group’s sales were driven by strong demand for trucks, as well as the integration of new U.S. subsidiary Navistar partway through the year. The return on sales was hampered somewhat by expenses related to the restructure of MAN Truck & Bus and EU antitrust proceedings against Scania, costing EUR696m and EUR510m respectively.
