Chile maintains rise in truck sales, but buses still fall

Chile - The Chilean commercial vehicle market in the first quarter of this year (2022) again saw different performance outcomes for the truck and bus segments.

In trucks, Chile recorded accumulated first quarter sales of 3,898 vehicles, an increase of 12.6% over the 3,461 units registered in the same period of 2021. The bus and coach segment recorded a volume of 398 units in the quarter, which represents a decrease of 12.3% compared with sales in the same period last year, with 454 units.
