Truck sales grow by 23.4% in Colombia in the first quarter of 2022

Colombia - In the first quarter of 2021, truck sales in the Colombian market maintained its growth trajectory, which has been happening for virtually the whole period since the end of 2020. According to data from AndemOS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility), 8,026 units were registered against 6,500 units in the same period of 2021, an increase of 23.4%.
Sales of light and medium weight trucks up to 10.5 tons gvw totalled 6,383 units, 23.7% higher than the 5,162 vehicles sold in the first quarter of 2021. The trucks and tractor segment (trucks above 10.5 tons gvw) totalled 1,643 units in Q1 of 2022, an increase of 22.8% compared with the 1,338 trucks sold between January and March 2021.
