Loop Energy to supply Tevva trucks with fuel cells

Tevva's 7.5 tonne electric truck platform

Canada / UK – Vancouver, Canada-based fuel cell manufacturer, Loop Energy Inc, has been named as the winner of a tender process to supply Tevva Motors Ltd, based in London, UK, with its 50kW T505 fuel cell system for Tevva’s 7.5 tonne electric truck platform. The two companies state they are now working towards finalising a broader supply agreement.

Tevva’s tender process began with a single unit order in Q4 2021 to evaluate and test the fuel cell system, which Loop claims focused on fuel efficiency, reliability, and ease of integration with Tevva’s system. The truck is designed with a range of up to 500km (310 miles), utilising the hydrogen fuel cell as a range extender.
