Electrovaya announces “breakthrough” performance in solid state battery performance

Canada – Toronto, Canada-based battery manufacturer Electrovaya Inc has announced what it has called a “breakthrough” in performance results for its solid state hybrid battery technology at its Electrovaya Labs division.
The company is targeting a 80% capacity retention after 800 cycles. After 300 cycles, the batteries retained a capacity of 94% at room temperature. Electrovaya has begun manufacturing single, two-layer, and four-layer pouch cells of its solid state technology, with hopes to expand to larger pouch cells in the near future.
