With deliveries set for Q4 of 2023, the lithium-ion battery pack comes in two forms, the HV-90 (35 kWh) and HV-180 (70 kWh) and will serve both 400V and 800V applications. With a 25-year projected lifetime, the company claims these are the longest-lasting high-voltage batteries available on the market today.

Production of these batteries will commence in late 2023, once their new manufacturing facility in Jamestown, New York, is fully operational.

Scheduled to open in late 2023, the 137,000-square-foot factory near Jamestown, NY, will produce lithium-ion batteries for e-trucks, e-buses and e-forklifts.

Toronto-based battery manufacturer Electrovaya Inc has announced what it has called a “breakthrough” in performance results for its solid state hybrid battery technology at its Electrovaya Labs division.

Proterra will supply a minimum of 600 vehicles, including Vicinity Lightning transit buses and Vicinity Motor's truck chassis platform, with batteries through 2024.

Electrovaya will supply its NMC batteries for integration with the Vicinity Lightning line of mid-sized buses and the VMC 1200 Class 3 truck.
