MAN Truck & Bus receives order for up to 940 buses

MAN Lion's Intercity LE for Deutsche Bahn

Germany – In May, MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, announced an order for approximately 940 buses from Deutsche Bahn AG, the largest provider of public transportation by bus in Germany. The vehicles will be delivered 2023 through 2026.

The framework contract awarded by Deutsche Bahn includes MAN Lion’s City buses in varying lengths, as well as the low-entry Lion’s Intercity LE. Up to 940 units will be delivered to the operator if they choose to exploit all the options provided in the contract. While the bulk of the order is made up of diesel buses, MAN is providing options for CNG and ‘EfficientHybrid’1 drivelines as well.
