Daimler Truck receives massive order for 800 units of the Freightliner eCascadia

USA – Daimler Truck AG, based in Stuttgart, Germany, has received a letter of intent from food distribution firm Sysco Corp for the order of up to 800 battery electric Freightliner eCascadia Class 8 trucks by 2026. The first unit is scheduled for delivery to Sysco’s site in California by the end of the year.

After more than one million miles of on-road testing, Daimler Truck launched the eCascadia at ACT Expo in May. This agreement with Sysco marks the first significant order for the eCascadia.
