Terberg successfully demonstrates autonomous terminal tractor operations at Dutch container terminal

Terberg autonomous terminal tractor in operation at Vlissingen, Netherlands

Netherlands – The Special Vehicles division of the Royal Terberg Group BV of IJsselstein, Netherlands has reported that it successfully tested an autonomous terminal tractor in mixed traffic operations at the Lineage Logistics terminal in Vlissingen, Netherlands.

The terminal tractor or yard truck performed tasks with full autonomy at the container terminal alongside other vehicles and pedestrians. The tractor received instructions from the Terminal Operating System, and then carried out its assigned job, successfully navigating to the correct location on its own where a container was being loaded or offloaded. The terminal tractor involved in the test was fitted with autonomous driving hardware supplied by EasyMile SAS of Toulouse, France.
