UD Trucks appoints Kouji Maruyama president

Japan – April 1, 2022 saw Kouji Maruyama appointed as president of UD Trucks Corporation of Ageo, Japan. Previously, Maruyama was the senior vice president of Japan Sales; he takes over from the firm’s former president, Takamitsu Sakamaki who retired at the end of March.

The company said Maruyama would continue to serve as head of Japan Sales, as well as perform duties as the company’s president, with a priority being to continue to drive the company’s ambition of becoming a sustainability leader in the commercial vehicle industry by 2025.
