Loop Energy to supply fuel cells to newcomer in Australian bus segment

Prototype fuel-cell electric bus by ARCC

Canada / AustraliaLoop Energy Inc of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada has announced a partnership with Aluminium Revolutionary Chassis Company (ARCC), a designer of zero-emission vehicle concepts based in Smithfield, New South Wales, Australia, to develop and manufacture Australia’s first zero-emissions bus with a full-length aluminium chassis.

ARCC is a self-described “disruptive” entrant into the Australian bus segment. It is currently developing prototype aluminium bus chassis, one with a battery-electric driveline and the other with a fuel-cell electric driveline. As part of the agreement between the two companies, Loop Energy will supply fuel cell systems to power the latter, making ARCC its very first Australian customer.
