France – Smart battery systems supplier, Forsee Power SAS of Paris, France, and EDF Store & Forecast, (a subsidiary of French state majority-owned energy company, EDF Energy) have signed a partnership to develop intelligent stationary electricity storage systems, using primarily ‘second-life’ (i.e. used) batteries from heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles, for recharging mobile assets such as commercial vehicles.

Forsee Power will supply battery packs from heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles such as buses for which the group is a leading supplier of battery systems in Europe. EDF Store & Forecast will integrate the battery packs into its ‘mobile’ stationary storage systems, which are controlled by its energy management system (EMS).
