Argentine CV market grows 2.3% in January to June 2022

Argentina - The Argentine market ended the first half of this year with the accumulated sales of 7,719 heavy commercial vehicles (trucks and buses) with growth of 2.3% compared with the same period in 2021, with registrations of 7,549 units, according to data from ACARA (Association of Automobile Dealers of the Argentine Republic).

The result for the semester revealed Mercedes-Benz as the top brand with sales of 3,303 units, up 12.9% from the 2,926 units sold in the same period in 2021, giving the brand a 42.8% market share. Iveco sold 2,140 units, an increase of 14.9% on the 1,826 units sold in the previous half year, giving it a 27.7% market share. Scania took third position with 825 units, 5.8% up from 780 units in the first six months of 2021 and 10.7% market share.
