Brazil’s CV segment enjoys relative stability despite issues of inflation and component shortages

Brazil - The Brazilian commercial vehicle market ended the first half of 2022 with registrations of 64,914 units, down 2.0% from the 66,268 units sold in the same period in 2021, according to figures provided by Fenabrave (National Federation of Automotive Vehicle Distribution) in São Paulo, Brazil.

Truck chassis sales in the first half of the year totalled 57,605 trucks, a volume lower by 1.9% when compared with 58,730 vehicles (adjusted figure) sold in the same period of the previous year. Bus and coach registrations totalled 7,309, a decrease of 3.0% over the 7,538 units sold in the first half of last year.
