Pinnacle Mobility (EKA) and NuPort Robotics to deploy Level 2 ‘autonomy’ for e-buses in India

India / Canada – Electric bus builder, Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Pvt Ltd1 (brand name of EKA) of Pune (a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries Group) has announced a partnership with autonomy driving systems applications specialist, NuPort Robotics Inc2 of Toronto, Canada, to introduce Level 2* – partial driving automation, driver assistance systems to its electric bus models.
This strategic partnership will see Pinnacle provide the EKA electric vehicle platform and NuPort provide its AI-enabled Level 2 autonomous solution that has been adapted specifically for Indian roads; typically taking into consideration the complex nature of the traffic in India as well as local driving habits. By using this proprietary AI technology, Pinnacle says it plans to progressively offer its customers increased safety, operational efficiency and a reduced carbon footprint.
