Ballard appoints Dr Mircea Gradu as Chief Engineering Officer

Canada – Ballard Power Systems Inc, a manufacturer of fuel cell systems based in Burnaby, British Columbia, has announced the appointment of Dr Mircea Gradu as Chief Engineering Officer, effective immediately.

Dr Gradu has over 25 years of experience working for automotive OEMs and suppliers. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Automotive Programs at Velodyne Lidar. Other companies he has worked for include Hyundai Motor America, Fiat Chrysler, Timken, Schaeffler, and Mercedes-Benz. He holds a doctorate in Engineering from the Technical University of Stuttgart.
