Schmitz TrailerConnect now sharing data to TIP Insight

Germany / Netherlands – Schmitz Cargobull AG, a semi-trailer manufacturer based in Horstmar, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has struck a data-sharing agreement with fleet services company TIP Trailer Services of Amsterdam, Netherlands, meaning that Schmitz telematics will be connected to TIP’s fleet management platform with immediate effect.

The standardised interface of Schmitz’s TrailerConnect telematics has been integrated into the ‘TIP Insight’ system, allowing Schmitz customers to freely use TIP Insight through Schmitz hardware. Customers may also choose to allow trailer data to automatically transfer from TrailerConnect to TIP Insight.
