Quantron presents battery- and fuel cell-electric trucks based on MAN TGX at IAA

QHM FCEV 44-1000 presented by Quantron in Hanover

Germany – At IAA Transportation 2022, held in Hanover between 20 and 25 September, Quantron AG of Gersthofen, Bavaria unveiled a new set of electric trucks, including a fuel-cell truck with a range of up to 1,500 kilometres.

The ‘QHM FCEV’ hydrogen trucks bring together Ballard’s FCmove-XD 120-kW fuel cell system and Allison Transmission’s eGen Power 130D E-axle in a truck platform based on the MAN TGX series. With 54 kg of hydrogen storage in tanks supplied by Nproxx, the truck, with two fuel cell systems and a maximum power output of 550 kW, can cover 700 km before needing to refuel; with 122 kg, the range can be extended to a maximum of 1,500 km.
