ConMet marks entry into European truck and bus market at IAA

Germany / USA – US wheel hub manufacturer, Consolidated Metco Inc (ConMet), (part of Amsted Industries), of Vancouver, Washington, displayed new lightweight wheel end products and chassis components at the IAA Transportation 2022 event in Hanover, last month, signalling its intent to enter the European commercial vehicle market.
Displayed on the stand were its latest weight-optimised iron and aluminium wheel end solutions for trucks and trailers as well as aluminium chassis components. These products, ConMet stated, can save up to 100 kilogrammes (kgs) on wheel ends and 200 kg on chassis components when replacing industry-standard products currently on the market. The benefit to customers is in fuel optimisation and ultimately increased payload capacity.
