Cummins appoints new CEO

Jennifer Rumsey, President and CEO of Cummins Inc.

USA – Engine manufacturer, Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, has appointed Jennifer Rumsey as new President and CEO with Tom Linebarger to serve as Chairman of the Board and Executive Chairman. Rumsey was elected to the Cummins Board of Directors earlier this year, where she will keep her seat as she becomes the first female CEO of the company.

Detailing her career, Rumsey began working in Research and Technology, primarily focused on advancing technology to reduce pollutants from diesel engines. Since then, her responsibilities included driving improvements in product quality, and developing the capability of global teams whilst engaging with the company’s original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners.
