MAN backs electric for the long haul

MAN's new TG eTruck for long haul operations

Germany - At the IAA Transportation 2022 in September, MAN Truck & Bus SE presented, the Lion Electric, a near-series prototype of battery electric truck for long haul operations, which will go into service with first customers from 2024.

Alexander Vlaskamp, CEO of MAN said the new MAN eTruck is already prepared for future megawatt charging with high charging capacities and short charging times, making it suitable for heavy-duty long-haul transport with daily ranges of between 600 and 800 kilometres, and even up to 1,000 kilometres in the future.
