CaetanoBus and UNVI to develop electric buses for the Spanish market

Spain / Portugal – Bus and coach manufacturers, CaetanoBus SA of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal and Unidad de Vehículos Industriales, SA (UNVI), of Ourense, Spain together presented a newly developed electric bus (Caetano UNVI C21) for the Spanish market at the recently held FIAA exhibition in Madrid.

The Caetano UNVI C21 electric bus is a low-floor 12-metre urban electric bus featuring an electric chassis (e.chassis) from Caetano capable of fitting a battery capacity of up to 420 kWh and UNVI’s steel structured single deck body meeting EC rollover regulation (R66). The bus is to be manufactured at UNVI’s premises in Spain, but a date for start of production is yet to be announced.
