USANikola Motor Corporation, a zero-emission truck manufacturer based in Phoenix, Arizona, has entered into a strategic partnership with KeyState LLC, which is currently developing a low-carbon facility for producing hydrogen in the state of Pennsylvania.

The facility is the intended result of a project called ‘KeyState Natural Gas Synthesis’, which aims to produce hydrogen, ammonia, and urea from natural gas feedstocks. In order to reduce its carbon emissions, KeyState will also sequester and store around 99% of the carbon dioxide it produces underground. All this will take place at a 7,000-acre site in Clinton County, near the town of Keating in north-central Pennsylvania. KeyState aims to produce 30 million kg of “blue” hydrogen per year once the site is operational in 2026.
