China CV sales decline slows in September

China - Sales of commercial vehicles in China continued to fall in September, by 12% to 279,000 units from 317,000 a year earlier, according to passenger car and commercial vehicle wholesale data released by Beijing-based China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

The country’s commercial vehicle market has declined sharply over the last two years, as economic growth continued to weaken due mainly to the global Covid pandemic. Last month’s decline was at a much slower rate than in over the last year, due mainly to the low base effect.
