Cummins and Tata sign agreement to 'build' zero-emission vehicles

USA / India – Drivetrain manufacturer, Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, USA, which conducts it business in India through it well established subsidiary, Cummins India Ltd of Pune, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Tata Motors Ltd, based in Mumbai to build internal combustion hydrogen-powered, fuel cell and battery electric commercial vehicles.

The Tata internal combustion vehicles will be equipped with the Cummins B6.7H hydrogen engine with up to 290 hp (216 kW) output and 1200 Nm peak torque featuring technological advancements to enhance power density, reduce friction losses and improve thermal efficiency.
