Cummins has had Euro VI engines in the market in Europe since 2013, with first introduction of on-board-diagnostic compliance tools for heavy-duty vehicles having been in 2010.

The agreement is to collaborate to build internal combustion hydrogen-powered, fuel cell and battery electric commercial vehicles.

Engine manufacturer, Cummins India Ltd of Pune, a subsidiary of Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, USA has completed and received the BS VI compliance certificate for its 6- and 8-litre engines, the B6.7B6AD01 and B5.6B6AD01 from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
