More than 2,000 CO2 heat pumps now in service, says Konvekta

Germany – Konvekta AG of Schwalmstadt, Germany, has revealed that it has delivered more than over 2,000 CO2 heat pump thermal management systems to the European market. Konvekta, which has been a pioneer in the use of carbon dioxide as a refrigerant, says it’s roof-mounted CO2 heat pump has been adapted for electric buses and can operate in ambient conditions from -20°C to +45°C without requiring an additional separate electric heating system. Konvekta says this range covers the profile of a temperate climate zone and allows year-round vehicle operation.
