First Hydrogen vans commence testing at the Horiba Mira proving ground

First Hydrogen Van to be tested at Horiba Mira

UK / Canada – First Hydrogen Corporation of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has announced its HFC-powered light commercial vehicles (LCVs) have begun test runs at the Horiba Mira proving ground in Nuneaton, UK. Recently its LCVs received type approval certification by the Vehicle Certification Authority (VCA) in Britain, ahead of customer trials on public roads commencing January 2023.

The Horiba Mira performance tests on the fuel cell-powered vans are to analyze and ensure vehicle safety and that it complies with the projected 400-600 km range performance before the handover from powertrain specialists, AVL to First Hydrogen. The fuel stack is supplied by Ballard Power Systems Inc and the hydrogen fuel systems are managed in-house by First Hydrogen.
