ZF surpasses production milestone of two million electric motors

GermanyZF Friedrichshafen AG of Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, has announced it has produced two million electric motors in total for automotive applications since it began supplying motors for hybrid drives in 2008. 

ZF’s production of electric motors encompasses central drives and axle drives for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. ZF is able to supply components for the entire drivetrain, including transmission and silicon carbide-based power electronics. Its ‘CeTrax’ product for heavier vehicles and its ‘AxTrax AVE’ portal axle for city buses are complete system solutions targeted at electric vehicle OEMs.
