Tesla makes first delivery of production-model Semi truck

USA – According to social media reports, Tesla Inc of Austin, Texas has successfully demonstrated the 500-mile range of its new ‘Semi’ Class-8 battery-electric truck and has made its first delivery to food and beverage firm PepsiCo Inc

Tesla CEO Elon Musk posted on Twitter on 27 November claiming that a Tesla Semi completed a 500-mile trip on a single charge with a total laden weight of 81,000 lbs. The claim has been circulated across multiple media channels, including Reuters. On 1 December, at an event streamed from the manufacturer’s Nevada facility, Musk announced that the first production vehicle had been delivered to Pepsi, which has reportedly placed an order for 100 units.
