MAN receives first e-bus order for 76 units from Norway

Norway / GermanyMAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, has announced its first Norwegian order for electric buses. Bus company Unibuss AS has ordered a total of 76 vehicles from the ‘Lion’s City E’ range of battery-electric urban buses, which will operate in Oslo. 

59 solo (10 and 12 metres) and 17 articulated (18 metres) buses have been ordered, and all are slated for delivery at the end of 2023. Unibuss has requested that MAN remove a single battery pack from the vehicles – meaning that the solo buses will have five packs (instead of six) and the articulated buses will have seven (instead of eight). Rudi Kuchta, Head of Business Unit Bus at MAN, commented:
