USANikola Corporation, a manufacturer of zero-emission trucks based in Phoenix, Arizona, has announced a strategic partnership with Plug Power Inc of Latham, New York which would see Plug Power supplying Nikola with fuel and processing equipment to support Nikola’s hydrogen strategy.

The two companies have signed a supply agreement whereby Plug Power will provide Nikola with 125 metric tons of hydrogen every day, sourced from multiple locations across the country wherever Plug Power is producing green hydrogen. Plug Power will also support Nikola’s own hydrogen production efforts in Buckeye, Arizona: it will supply a liquefaction system to the project, which aims to produce 30 metric tons of low-carbon hydrogen per day initially and up to 150 metric tons in the future.
