GermanyMAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, has announced the launch of a digital application that will allow its trucks to automatically pay for fuel after being filled at the station.

‘MAN SimplePay’ works via the ‘Rio Box’ telematics hardware which is now installed in MAN trucks as standard. It interfaces with the cloud and with the digital payment services provided by Logpay Financial Services GmbH, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Financial Services based in Eschborn, Hesse. The application allows the truck to automatically pay for fuel at the pump and forward the bill to the fleet manager, meaning that the driver does not have to pay manually by cash or card.
