Proterra to wind up production at City of Industry site in California by end of 2023

USA – Proterra Inc, a manufacturer of electric buses and battery systems based in Burlingame, California, has announced that it will be terminating its operations at its plant in the City of Industry, located in Los Angeles County, by the end of the year.
The move is a cost-cutting measure which will allow Proterra to concentrate its manufacturing activities at its two sites in South Carolina: production at Greer began in the last month. Up to 300 jobs are at risk as a result of the decision. Proterra says it plans to keep its headquarters in the state of California.
