Transjakarta to buy 190 electric buses in 2023

Indonesia - PT Transportasi Jakarta (TransJakarta), the main public bus operator in Indonesia’s capital city Jakarta, said it plans to add 190 battery-powered buses to its fleet in 2023, as it responds to the central government’s emissions reduction policies; TransJakarta had 30 electric buses in operation at the end of 2022, according to Syafrin Liputo head of the Jakarta Transportation Office.
Other cities in Indonesia, including Surabaya, are also implementing plans to introduce electric buses in their public transport fleets.
