Microvast to supply batteries to REE Automotive

USA / Israel – Microvast Holdings Inc of Stafford, Texas, USA has announced it will supply batteries to REE Automotive Ltd of Herzliya, Israel to power REE’s ‘P7’ commercial electric vehicle platform for weight classes 1 to 6.
According to the terms of the supply and purchase agreement between the two companies, Microvast will provide ‘MV-C Gen 4’ battery packs to REE. These were first shown in Hanover at the IAA last September and are set to imminently enter series production in Huzhou, Zhejiang, China. The packs which Microvast will supply to REE will contain ‘HpCO 53.5Ah’ lithium-ion ‘pouch’ cells, high energy cells which were launched earlier in 2022 and which, according to the manufacturer, can be recharged in thirty minutes.
