Daimler completes delivery of 864 Mercedes-Benz buses to Portugal

Daimler handover, including 633 Conecto low-floor buses
Portugal / Germany – Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg, has announced it has successfully delivered 864 Mercedes-Benz buses to Lisbon, one of the largest orders in the company’s history, with the first batch of 111 deliveries shipped in 2021. The order consisted of 633 Mercedes-Benz Conecto low-floor buses, 157 Mercedes-Benz Intouro inter-city buses, 50 compact Mercedes-Benz Citaro K low-floor buses, four Mercedes-Benz OC 500 bus chassis and another 20 minibuses based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Several operators including, Barraqueiro Transportes, Viac͂ao Alvorada, Rodoviária de Lisboa and Vimeca received these vehicles to operate in the AML (Área Metropolitana de Lisboa) region which consists of the Portuguese capital and a further 18 districts in the surrounding region.
