Daimler Truck sets up logistics hub for spare parts in Germany

Official announcement of the Global Parts Centre project

Germany – Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg, has announced it is building a new logistics hub in Halberstadt, Saxony, to supply spare parts for Mercedes-Benz trucks across Europe, with the aim of decreasing the time these vehicles will be off the road.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Q1 2023 and is set for completion in 2026. The significance is that this Global Parts Centre is the biggest logistics project in the company's history. Set to provide 450 jobs, the 270,000 square metre automated high-bay global parts warehouse will stock over 300,000 items from screws to finished truck cabs.
