Nikola Iveco to transition Richter’s fleet to hydrogen fuel-cell electric trucks

GermanyNikola Iveco Europe GmbH of Ulm, Baden-Württemberg has received a Letter of Intent from freight-forwarding firm Richter Transport GmbH & Co Logistik KG of Wesel, North Rhine-Westphalia to acquire 20 fuel-cell electric trucks – with the eventual intention of replacing its entire fleet with Nikola’s vehicles. 

Nikola Iveco aims to deliver the ‘Tre’ heavy-duty trucks to Richter next year. It says that Richter may choose to lease some or all of these vehicles through Iveco’s ‘Green & Advanced Transport Ecosystem’ truck rental package, which includes maintenance and other services. In addition, Nikola Iveco will supply hydrogen fuel to Richter’s trucks through its joint venture with E.ON
