Orders keep rolling in for the hydrogen-powered H2.City Gold CaetanoBus

H2.City Gold

Germany / Portugal – Bus and coach manufacturer, CaetanoBus SA of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, is set to supply German public transport operator Deutsche Bahn (DB), with 60 hydrogen-powered H2.City Gold buses, to be delivered in Q1 2024, following 71 European orders last year. The buses are to be equipped with a new generation Toyota (Toyota Motor Corporation) fuel cell stack with a nominal power of 70 kW (as opposed to 60 kW in the previous generation), making CaetanoBus the first European company to use Toyota’s fuel cell technology. The fuel cells are assembled at Toyota Motor Europe’s (TME) Research and Development facility, in Zaventem, Brussels.
