Scania delivers 66-tonne electric truck-trailer to limestone quarry in Norway

Sweden / NorwayScania AB, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Södertälje, Sweden, has announced the delivery of a 66-tonne electric tractor-trailer combination – its largest electric truck so far – to the Verdalskalk limestone quarry in Norway. 

The truck itself features a P 45 cab, three axles, and nine batteries providing 300 kWh of energy. The motor provides 450 kW of continuous power and 3500 Nm torque. It is fitted with a dump trailer with side tip built by Maur Bilpåbygg AS of Svelvik and a hydraulic canopy roof supplied by Robol AS of Oslo. The truck also pulls a 4-axle dolly trailer with another tipper body.
