Solaris receives 100-unit hybrid bus order for Sardinia

The Urbino 12 hybrid by Solaris

Poland / Italy – Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o. of Bolechowo, Poland has announced an order for 100 hybrid buses from Azienda Regionale Sarda Trasporti SpA (ARST), the firm responsible for public transportation on the Italian island of Sardinia. The buses are scheduled for a 2024 delivery.

The Urbino 12 hybrid buses were secured as part of a framework agreement signed in 2021 with joint-stock company Consip SpA, which is owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance. Consip supports public transportation firms in Italy with direct vehicle procurement and tenders.
